The Place d’Armes is a sister property to the Nelligan but much larger. The rooms are nicely appointed and the hotel features a trendy bar & restaurant. Appealing to the “young and beautiful” people of the city, it can sometimes be crowded. It is located near the famous Notre Dame Cathedral, just on the edge of Old Montreal.

I’ve discovered this hotel while researching for a place for a photo shoot. Their XL rooms are simply fantastic, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. It is not always easy to find nice hotel outside of Montreal popular downtown area. When in Laval, I always recommend this hotel, which is the best one when it comes to the rooms and location. They recently opened a downtown establishment, in the center of the trendy area where all is accessible by walk. Definitely worth to take a look!
